Luis H. Francia, a poet, writer, critic and editor has won several literary awards in the US and in the Philippines. He is the author of Her Beauty Likes Me Well (Petrarch Press, 1979), The Arctic Archipelago and Other Poems (Ateneo De Manila University, 1992), Eye of the Fish: A Personal Archipelago (Kaya 2001). The selections in this issue of Literary Well come from Museum of Absences, his last book of poetry published in 2004 by Meritage Press and The University of the Philippines Press. Luis Francia writes for several publications and currently teaches at New York University.
