Jane Calender, writer, artist, and
musician, was born in the San Francisco
Bay Area. Her education included
Stanford University and The College of
Arts and Crafts. She currently lives,
writes, paints and plays the piano for
small gatherings in Marin County.
The selection of poems are from a book
in progress entitled Collected Poems of Love. The author writes with great sen-sitivity of loneliness and isolation and of her love of nature’s beauty. In much of
her writing, there is an underlying
sadness. Although not in this group of poems, she often writes with a touch
of whimsy. An illustrated collection of inspirational poetry dealing with grief will be coming out at the end of the year.
