Ese hablar a solas contigo
me ha llenado de vacío.
Más monótonas se han vuelto las horas,
espesos los días, gélidos y desolados.
Casi hemos contagiado con la más sarcástica calma
a los callados muebles
Arrastrando súbitamente sombras
que pisan nuestro camino.
Tú bien sabes
que a veces ha sido necesario secar con polvo
el reposo que le he implantado a la luz,
intentando ocultar harapos obscuros
con los que nadie me ha hecho tanto daño como tú.
Pero vuelves implacable con tus tazas de café
a entristecerlo todo.
A escondidas
he mirado como endulzas y adulteras
cada gramo porozo de miel avara,
de ella recojo trozos que desechas.
Como sea,
son pequeñas partes de mi mundo
de lo que ha sido mi vida.
¿Y por qué aún hablo contigo?
Por que las historias tuyas
conducen todas a hermosos cuentos,
turbios como escalones fríos en la mañana
que también conducen al templo
de tus pequeños tristes sueños:
frágiles, ásperos, inseguros
y sin embargo, ciertos.

Those solo conversations with you
have filled me with emptiness.
The hours have become more monotonous,
the days dense, gelid and desolate.
We have almost infected, with the most sarcastic calm,
the quiet furniture,
suddenly dragging shadows
that step on our way.
You know quite well
that at times I have had to dry with dust
the repose that I have implanted in the light,
trying to hide dark tattered rags
with which no one has ever hurt me
as you have.
But you return, implacable, with your cups of coffee
to sadden everything.
Secretly
I have watched how you sweeten and adulterate
each porous gram of avaricious honey
from which I pick up bits that you discard.
However
they are small parts of the world
of what my life has become.
And so why do I still talk to you?
Because those stories of yours
all lead to beautiful tales,
disturbing like cold steps in the morning
that also lead to the temple
of your little sad dreams:
fragile, rough, insecure,
and nevertheless, certain.
