Camincha is from Miraflores, Lima, Perú. She received her M.A. in Spanish Literature from San Francisco State University and is listed in A Dictionary of American Poets and Fiction Writers. She has published three books: Where I Come From, Where I Am Going/ De Donde Vengo, A Donde Voy (1992), Indecent Exposure/Exhibición Púdica (1993), Why Do I Think of Dead People at Poetry Readings? (1996). Her poems and short stories have appeared in various anthologies and publications like Kaleidoscope, ITCOP, Minotaur, Passager, Morena, Northwest Literary Forum, CUPS, Poetry USA, ZamBomba, Bryant Literary Review, Perceptions. Aside from her vocation as a writer, professionally she is an interpreter and translator. Camincha currently lives in California.
